What blog content can I provide as an SEO copywriter?
I can write just about anything that lives on your blog.
That includes:
- How-to guides
- Trend rounds-ups
- Opinion pieces
- Seasonal content
- Listicles
- Thought leadership
- SEO-driven articles
While I can write blog articles based on a brief, I can also provide a full blog content strategy. This could involve performing keyword research to come up with some new ideas, completing competitor research to see what articles you’re potentially missing and building a full content plan based on a content audit.
How does the blog writing process work?
Step 1: Understanding

To start with, I’ll get to know you and your business — your tone of voice, what you offer, who your audience is, and what you want your blog to achieve. This information is necessary to write content that connects with your audience.
Are you looking to attract new customers, improve your Google rankings, or simply have something to post on socials? I’ll tailor my writing to fit.
If you have a brief, now is the time to send it over.
Step 2: Planning and research

Next comes the planning and research phase.
For article writing, I’ll take the time to research the topic, using trustworthy sources and analysing all angles. I will also check your competitor’s blogs and wider industry trends to ensure I’m creating something valuable and unique.
Step 3: Writing

Then I’ll get writing. I’ll always make sure the tone is on-brand and the content is clear, engaging, and optimised for both readers and search engines.
Once your post is written, I will share it as a Google Doc. It will contain a suggested URL, meta title and description and the copy itself. The copy will be optimised and will contain internal links.
Step 4: Feedback

You’re welcome to review the article and request edits. I always welcome feedback as I want you to be 100% happy with what goes live on your site.
You have up to two rounds of feedback (though this isn’t always needed) and then the content can go live on your site.
Why is blog content so important?
A blog does more than just fill space on your website. Done well, it boosts your SEO, showcases your expertise and builds trust with potential customers. It’s also a brilliant way to answer your audience’s burning questions, keep them engaged, and drive traffic to your key pages.
From an SEO standpoint, blogs can work wonders. Google loves useful, up-to-date content, and blogging gives you regular opportunities to target specific keywords, rank for long-tail search queries, and improve your overall visibility. Without quality blog content, you could be missing out on hundreds (if not thousands) of potential site visitors.
My speciality is blogs. I’ve created thousands of articles in my time as a blog post writer. Having previously worked as a content strategist at a top digital marketing agency here in the North West, I’ve taken clients’ blogs from 0 sessions a month to 40,000 organic sessions.
I specialise in creating the ultimate blog strategy to improve organic visibility, site sessions and leads for all kinds of businesses.

1. What’s the difference between blog content and web copy?
Web copy is designed to convert. Think service pages, product descriptions, and sales messaging. Blog content is more educational or informative, helping with SEO, audience engagement, and brand authority.
2. How often should I post on my blog?
Consistency is key. Posting once a week or fortnight is a great goal, but even monthly posts can make a difference. The main thing is to keep it regular and relevant.
3. Do blogs really help with SEO?
Absolutely. Every blog post is an opportunity to rank for different keywords and drive traffic to your site. Over time, a well-maintained blog can have a big impact on your visibility in search engines. Plus, the more quality content you have, the more Google will see your site as an authority, someone to trust. This is important to appease Google’s EEAT update.
4. Can I provide the topics or should you come up with them?
Either works. If you have specific topics in mind, I’ll write to your brief. If not, I can suggest topics based on your business goals, industry trends, and keyword opportunities.
5. How long should a blog post be?
It depends on the topic and its purpose. Shorter posts (500 to 800 words) can work well for quick updates or light reads. For SEO and more in-depth content, 1,000 to 1,500 words is often ideal. I’ve written everything from 500 words to 3,000 words.
6. What if I don’t know what to blog about?
No problem. I offer content strategy services where I research your niche, competitors, and keywords to come up with a tailored list of blog topics for your business. Alternatively, I can perform keyword research specifically for informational topics that you’d find on a blog.
7. Do you include images and formatting?
I can suggest where images or headings might go, and I’ll format the copy clearly so it’s easy to upload to your CMS. If you need help sourcing images or uploading posts, just let me know — it can be added as part of my website admin and tidy up service.
8. Can blog posts be repurposed into other types of content?
Yes! A single blog post can be reused for email newsletters, social media posts, or even turned into a downloadable guide. I can help with repurposing if you want to get more mileage from each piece.
9. How long does it take to write a blog post?
Turnaround time depends on the length and subject, but a typical post takes a few hours to research and write. I’ll always agree timings with you upfront, especially if you need content to a tight deadline.
10. Why do I need a blog content strategy?
It’s easy to write content for content’s sake, with no real purpose or reasoning. But this kind of content likely isn’t going to perform as well as an optimised article that contains relevant keywords. A blog content strategy gives your blog real direction instead of just hoping for the best.
I can guarantee that all of my content is unique and not written with AI. There is nothing better than a real person writing quality content.
